Description of Externship

The Bio-Behavioral Institute is an outpatient treatment, research, and training facility specializing in the treatment of OCD and its Related Disorders, as well as Anxiety and Mood Disorders. Located in Great Neck, N.Y., the Bio-Behavioral Institutes offers various levels of training opportunities including externship, internship, and post-doctoral positions. As part of their experience at the Bio-Behavioral Institute, students are exposed to a full range of clinical and research activities including in-vivo exposures, home visits, research publications and protocol development, as well as the unique opportunity participate in our intensive outpatient OCD and Related Disorders treatment programs. In addition, we have a full DBT program, including weekly consultation meetings, phone coaching, individual, and skills groups. Externs will have opportunity to train and co-lead skills groups.
