Description of Externship

Inpatient on the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit (TBI). Externs will learn how to conduct bedside neuropsychological evaluations, cognitive remediation, supportive psychotherapy, and psychoeducation. Patient population includes patients with acquired brain injuries (e.g. CVA, TBI), as well as various neurological disorders. Outpatient: Externs will learn to conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, including interpretation of testing data and report writing. Extern will work in the Outpatient department providing cognitive remediation, supportive therapy and psychoeducation to patients with ABI.
