Description of Externship

Populations commonly served:

Primarily adult Inpatients, however, there can be some experience with teenagers and occasionally the strong extern will be invited to see Outpatients with the faculty. While we are in an epilepsy center there is a tremendous range in the types of referrals we get and clinical presentation with a wide variety of neurological illness and psychiatric disorders included. Our service also covers the Inpatient psychiatric unit and performs neuropsychological consults there which the externs are part of.
