PSYCHOLOGY EXTERNSHIP PROGRAM The Clinic of the New York University Postdoctoral Program (NYU Postdoc) is pleased to offer its Psychology Externship Program (PEP). NYU Postdoc is a premier and large psychoanalytic educational program with a strong focus on comparative theory and practice. We have an internationally acclaimed faculty and a tradition of exemplary clinical services to the community at low-cost since 1961.

Begins in September 2018 and ends in June 2019. Students will be interviewed in January and February 2017. Depth training in adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Students are assigned three patients who are seen twice per week. Weekly individual and group supervision. Students are assigned one NYU Postdoc supervisor per patient. Weekly didactic seminars address theoretical and clinical issues. Participation in the monthly Friday Clinic Symposium series open only to the Postdoc community. Participation in NYU sponsored conferences and colloquia. PEP adheres to the official PSYDNYS and NYNJADOT guidelines for externship programs.

Preference will be given to advanced doctoral students in clinical or counseling psychology who, at a minimum, are entering their third year of training, and who have had one year of individual psychodynamic outpatient experience.
