the Addiction Institute at Mt Sinai (AIMS) provides a specialized training
experience in the treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. It

this population such as motivational interviewing, harm reduction
psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and
mindfulness based relapse prevention.

Didactic seminars are held approximately every 2 weeks
As an extern, you will be expected to work 16 hours per week and will receive one hour of individual and/or group supervision each week. The externship is a year-long commitment beginning in July.We DO NOT have a Summer externship program.
