Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders (CITPD)

CITPD offers advanced training in multidimensional / multivariable assessment, diagnosis and group / individual treatment of complex personality disorders and personality-related problems. Specialized training in treatment of Young Adults (18-24 yo),  co-morbid Gender Dysphoria and Dissociative Disorders is available.

Treatment model is based on:

  • Intensive Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Mentalization Based Therapy
  • Cognitive Therapy
  • Mindfulness and (Zen) Meditation Training

The Externship lasts 12 months and requires availability for 16 hours / week, daily, Monday - Friday, either 1 - 4 (PM1 Track) or 3 - 6 (PM2 Track).

Intervention and Assessment:
Intervention training experiences offered: 1 group / day (5 / week), 2 individual patients, 1-2 crisis interventions / week
Assessment training experiences commonly offered: comprehensive assessment of new patients, risk / safety screenings, psychological testing, psychotherapy outcomes 
Expected number of full assessment batteries completed during externship: 1-3 (optional)

Supervision:
