This externship’s principal focus is on integrated primary healthcare (pediatric hematology/oncology) and externs work collaboratively with the numerous medical and psychosocial team members and provide psychotherapy services and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations.

Externs are available in person or via phone for informal meetings.

Intervention and Assessment:
Intervention training experiences offered: Estimate average number of individual patients that students will carry; estimate number of groups and other types of interventions. Offer description: 4-5 individual psychotherapy cases, 3 hours of neuropsychological assessment per week
Assessment training experiences commonly offered. Describe: 10 to 15 hours of direct face-to-face including administering the newest versions of the WAIS/WISC/WPPSI, Vineland, WJ/WIAT/Bracken, CMS/WMS/WRAML, D-KEFS, NEPSY, CPT, BRIEF, BASC, Robert’s Apperception Test, Sentence Completion, PPVT, EVT, WCST, WRAVMA, and many more.
Expected number of full assessment batteries completed during externship (defined as administration of a battery of standardized tests): 12-15
