Provide description of Externship:
This site offers a sixteen hour externship in neuropsychological assessment with adult and geriatric patients that present with a combination of psychiatric and neurologic syndromes.  Populations served often present with symptoms of dementia due to a variety of etiologies, including possible Alzheimer's Disease, cerebrovascular disease, Parkinson's Disease, multiple sclerosis or head trauma.

Intervention and Assessment:
Intervention training experiences offered: Estimate average number of individual patients that students will carry; estimate number of groups and other types of interventions. Offer description:  Externs will complete about four comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations.  There is also the opportunity to provide individual therapy to individuals

Supervision:

Context of didactics (seminars, Grand Rounds): Two and a half hours.

Describe direct supervision: Direct supervision involves learning administration and scoring of various neuropsychological instruments, supervision with regard to report writing as well as with regard to provision of feedback to the individual assessed and their family members.
