Provide description of Externship:  The externship is an opportunity to gain experience in neuropsychological assessment, as well as psychotherapy (optional).  The training experience provides an introduction to the purposes and uses of neuropsychological evaluation.  A year-long neuroscience course provides a framework for conceptualization of cognitive impairments.  Both inpatient and outpatient populations are served.  Students receive training in neuropsychological assessment that includes administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing.  In addition, didactic seminars and lectures attended with the interns and post doctoral fellow are an integral part of the training experience.

Interview process (provide information about interview process- time frame, how decisions are made) Also, do you conduct individual and/or group interviews; case presentation, other information?: Conducted via zoom applicants will attend a group informational session, followed by at least 2 individual interviews, and meet with present trainees.

Intervention training experiences offered: Estimate average number of individual patients that students will carry; estimate number of groups and other types of interventions. Offer description: 1 individual psychotherapy case, if desired
Assessment training experiences commonly offered. Describe: Adult neuropsychological and psychological testing for cognitive impairments.  Experience with test selection, test administration and scoring, report writing, and case conceptualization
