Interview process (provide information about interview process- time frame, how decisions are made) Also, do you conduct individual and/or group interviews; case presentation, other information?: Applicants will have an individual interview of 45 minutes duration with the director of the externship.
What application materials are required (i.e., cv, transcript, how many reference letters, case summary, test report, other?: A cover letter, CV, 2 letters of recommendation from clinical supervisors and a case summary are required.
Intervention and Assessment:
Intervention training experiences offered: Estimate average number of individual patients that students will carry; estimate number of groups and other types of interventions. Offer description: Externs will have a caseload of 5 patients to be seen individually once or twice a week, they will participate in weekly group supervision and weekly individual supervision. They will participate in weekly case conferences where cases are discussed by experienced psychoanalysts and a weekly seminar series in which experienced psychoanalysts present on a rich variety of theoretical and clinical topics.
Assessment training experiences commonly offered. Describe: At least one full batteries will be given. This battery will include an intelligence test, Rorschach, neuropsych instruments.
