WIHD provides part-time Pre-Doctoral Externships in clinical psychology, providing training in both therapeutic and assessment experience of children and families involved with the foster care system, through WIHD's Child Welfare Services.

Intervention and Assessment:
Intervention training experiences offered: Estimate average number of individual patients that students will carry; estimate number of groups and other types of interventions. Offer description: 2-3 Individual/Group/Sibling Therapy Cases which will involve Play Therapy; Parent Training Client also possible

Context of didactics (seminars, Grand Rounds): Child Welfare Seminar (Mondays); Psychology Seminar (Tuesdays)

Describe direct supervision: Weekly supervision with primary supervisor (licensed psychologist), as well as supervision/mentoring by a postdoctoral fellow.
Specify if observation occurs during intervention, assessment, consultation (audio, video, live in person (in treatment room, one-way mirror, live video stream): Observation can include live in person supervision (with supervisor in treatment room) and video observation.
